When Allied Pickfords moves your goods abroad, you can be assured that we will do our best to ensure they arrive at your new home safe and sound. After your goods are packed, they will pass into the hands of other organisations including shipping companies, airlines and handling agents. Most shipments reach their final destination in good condition, but from time to time accidents do happen for a variety of reasons. It is for these reasons that we strongly advise that you take out insurance.

1. Replacement as new
Allied Pickfords will provide replacement as new if repairs cannot be satisfactorily completed. This is designed to ensure that in the event of loss or damage, your valued possessions will be covered from the moment we arrive in your home, right through to delivery at your new location.
2. A range of options to suit your needs
As well as our standard moving insurance policy, you can also choose from a range of options which will extend your insurance cover, including:
- Pairs and sets extension - Additional protection of a complete pair or set of only one part if the set is damaged or lost.
- Mechanical and electrical derangement extension - Additional protection for the derangement of electrical and mechanical goods eg. videos, hi-fi's and personal computers.
- Mould and mildew extension (applicable to International Shipments only) - Additional protection against damage by mould and mildew.
- Packing and shipping extension - recover your packing and shipping costs in the case of the complete loss of your shipment.
- Owner packed items - protection for the items you have packed yourself.
3. In house claims moving insurance settlement
In the event of a claim, Allied Pickfords will settle claims promptly through our in-house claims department. We take complete responsibility for claims management, using loss adjusters where appropriate, and never allow the management of claims to a third party.
